Carey attended the MOCA NEW 30th Anniversary Gala last night looking very chic and gorgeous. 11 photos have been added and I’ll be adding more as they come along!
EDIT: 13 more photos have been added
EDIT 2: 18 more photos have been added, thank you Celyn!
I’ve added another photo from session 12 to the gallery
I’ve added 6 more new photos of Carey shooting her spread for Vanity Fair magazine to the gallery. I also have a whole bunch (and I mean a whole bunch!) of “Wall Street 2” on set photos so expect those to be uploaded soon and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter!
Thanks to my good friend Mariana for sending in a scan of Carey in Evening Standard magazine from October 30! It’s a nice, albeit short, interview but Carey explains why her hair is so short
Also, if any of you have Twitter, feel free to follow Carey Mulligan Online @CareyMOnline!
I’ve added a few more on set photos from “Wall Street 2” and this time Carey is with her director, Oliver Stone, and co-star Michael Douglas looking absolutely gorgeous in a black ball gown!
One of the opportunities to come out of “An Education” is Mulligan’s role in Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps,” in which she stars as Winnie Gekko, opposite Michael Douglas as her father, Gordon Gekko. Though that film is currently in production and her breakout role in “An Education” has Hollywood insiders buzzing, Mulligan says it’s been difficult to convince friends and family that things are going well in Los Angeles. “I used to be on BBC One a lot in these costume dramas, so occasionally my parents’ friends would see me. Nothing I’ve done [recently] has come out, so, of course, they’re like, ‘Well, clearly she’s struggling,’ ” Mulligan says with a laugh.
You can read the rest of the interview right here.
… plus a few out’n’about photos and some additions to Carey on the set of ‘Wall Street 2’!? All in all, a pretty uneventful update, wouldn’t you think?
First up, thanks to the sleuth prowess of Amanda, we have uncovered not only one, but three new photoshoot additions which have been placed in our galleries; the first adds two new photos from Session 005, while the second sees the addition of a completely new shoot – Session 015! And to conclude, one can never go wrong with a brand new high quality shoot featuring Carey from the Toronto Film Festival back in September. Follow the previews below to see the new additions.
Also being added, a new set of candids featuring Carey on relaxing and eco-friendly bike ride in New York, plus a few more from Carey and Shia on the set of ‘Wall Street 2′.
Carey Mulligan, the UK sensation who is being tipped for awards glory in An Education, is in advance discussions to star in the title role of Effie, being sold here by Ealing Studios.
The film is written by Oscar-winning actress and screenwriter Emma Thompson, who will also star with Greg Wise.
Richard Laxton will direct the drama, which is about one of the great scandals of the Victorian era. It follows the story of John Ruskin (Wise), the eminent Victorian art critic, and of his marriage to Effie Gray (Mulligan).
As her troubled husband’s behaviour becomes ever stranger, Effie must gather her wits about her to avoid scandal while ensuring escape to the arms of the man she really loves: the dashing artist – and darling of her husband’s critical eye – John Everett Millais. Thompson plays Lady Eastlake.
EDIT: 9 more photos have been added:
