The 15th annual Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Film Awards, presented by Starz Entertainment, will honor Academy Award nominee Carey Mulligan with its 2011 Hollywood Supporting Actress Award.

Mulligan is being recognized for her performance as an emotionally disturbed young woman who moves in with her sex-addicted brother in Shame, as well as for her portrayal of a young mother in need of protection in Drive. Additionally, Bérénice Bejo (The Artist), Jean Dujardin (The Artist), Elle Fanning (Super 8), Amber Heard (The Rum Diary), Andrea Riseborough (W.E), Shailene Woodley (The Descendants), and Anton Yelchin (Like Crazy) will be the recipients of this year’s Hollywood Spotlight Award, which recognizes young up-and-comers for breakthrough performances.

All of the aforementioned honorees will collect their statuettes at the Hollywood Awards Gala Ceremony, which will take place at the Beverly Hilton on Oct. 24, 2011.

Carey’s first public appearance in 2011 was at the 22nd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, where she was presented with the award for Best Breakthrough Performance by her Never Let Me Go co-star Andrew Garfield! The long list of nominees for the British Academy Film Awards have been announced and Carey is one of the fifteen chosen for Best Actress, sharing the list with Natalie Portman, Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams, Nicole Kidman and Noomi Rapace amongst others!

The longlists are made up of the 15 contenders in each category, chosen by BAFTA members in the first round of voting, which closed January 5. In the second round, voters will select the five nominees, to be unveiled January 18. The BAFTAs will be awarded on February 13

British actress Carey Mulligan is set to receive an honor at the Women in Film and TV Awards.

The star, 25, will be given the best performance award for her Oscar-nominated film An Education. Her new film Never Let Me Go will be released in the UK in January next year.

The event will be held at the Park Lane Hilton hotel in London and it will be hosted by British actress and Harry Potter star Julie Walters.
